Border Wall Funding Returned
The Biden administration announced plans to return more than $2 billion in military construction funds that had been diverted to construction of a southern border wall. The plan also calls for using some of the unspent funds the Trump administration diverted to the border to repair damage caused by wall construction, such as soil erosion in San Diego, CA, and a flood protection system in the Rio Grande Valley. The reversal in wall funding would restore money to 66 previously deferred military construction projects in 11 states, three territories and 16 foreign countries.
