House FY22 Appropriations

This week the House Appropriations Committee started subcommittee markups of their FY22 appropriations bills. The markups will indicate how much funding each subcommittee will receive and how closely the House Democrats stick to President Biden's budget; his requested split between the 16.5 percent increase for domestic and foreign aid programs, and 1.6 percent defense increase. Also, appropriators will be incorporating earmark requests this year, which could garner some GOP support.
