Voting Rights Legislation

This week Senate Democrats attempted to advance the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act (HR 5746) and a combination of past voting rights measures (HR 4, S 2747). The debate is intended to keep pressure on Senators Sinema and Manchin to change their views and support changes to the filibuster rule that would allow the voting rights legislation to pass with a simple majority.
