President Biden’s FY23 Natural Disaster Funding Request
The Biden administration has requested supplemental funding to respond to natural disasters, including $29.6 billion for hurricane relief in Florida and Puerto Rico, plus $7.7 billion for assorted other calamities such as flooding in Kentucky and Typhoon Merbok in Alaska. The new package brings the total emergency funding requested by the White House to $85 billion, including a prior $47.7 billion request for military and economic aid to Ukraine and pandemic response efforts.
