SUBExcel 2024 Brings Subcontractors Together in New Orleans
The 2024 installment of the annual SUBExcel convention promises to be one of the best yet for subcontractors looking to further their education and expand their networks. This year, SUBExcel heads to New Orleans - a city known for its vibrant culture, food, and good times. While there will be plenty of opportunities to experience the sights and sounds of the Big Easy, the main draw remains SUBExcel’s top-notch education program.
With 10 educational sessions and panels, subcontractors from all trades will be able to boost their knowledge and skills across a wide range of topics. Changes in the construction industry occur at a rapid pace, and continuing education is vital. Whether it’s keeping up with Artificial Intelligence or learning the intricacies of payment terms, SUBExcel has packed the schedule with information that will keep subcontractors ahead of the curve. This year, SUBExcel is delivering sessions from leading experts and industry peers focused on Leadership, Safety, Technology, Contracts, and Job Costing.
In addition to education, SUBExcel puts a premium on networking. The event-opening President’s Welcome Reception on Wednesday night will bring together attendees with over 20 exhibitors ranging from equipment suppliers to construction software developers, providing attendees with a prime spot to interact with company representatives and deepen professional connections. With the construction industry poised to keep expanding, especially with the federal infrastructure bill, strengthening your network at SUBExcel 2024 could lead to opportunities down the road.
The networking continues Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as well. After the opening night event, Thursday activities include the Opening Session & Keynote with Kelly Riggs, and then a Swamp Tour and a Golf Outing at TPC Louisiana. On Friday, get ready for the 2nd Keynote with Chris Kuehl in the morning and then the ASA Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon in the afternoon. Friday night, we’re going to celebrate all that is great about ASA with the Always Something Awesome Awards and Mardi Gras Gala! After we honor the people and companies making an impact on ASA, participants can let loose while making lasting memories with music, drinks, and dancing!
The construction industry’s greatest asset is its people, and subcontractors are the lifeblood of the jobsite. By bringing together this vibrant community of professionals to educate, connect, and celebrate - this year in energetic New Orleans - SUBExcel strengthens those invaluable personal ties across organizations and specializations. Savvy veterans and newbies alike are encouraged to register for SUBExcel 2024 (it’s not too late!) and deepen their industry impact.
