Warehouse Worker Protection Act to Be Introduced Soon
Members of the House and Senate are expected to introduce the Warehouse Worker Protection Act in the next couple of weeks, which would amend various labor and employment laws. The bill includes changes to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) to establish a new unfair labor practice if an employer imposes a workplace productivity quota “that significantly discourages or prevents, or [is] intended to significantly discourage or prevent, an employee from exercising” their rights under the NLRA. As defined in the bill, workplace productivity quotas would seemingly encompass every measure of worker productivity or output.
