This Week in Congress
This week, Congress was in session with the House voting on a budget resolution and a pair of Congressional Review Act joint resolutions to overturn Biden administration regulations on energy standards for gas-powered tankless water heaters (H.J.Res. 20) and methane emissions fees (H.J.Res. 35). Also, the House voted on seven bills relating to small businesses, including a measure allowing financial institutions to increase the amount of capital they invest in small business investment companies from 5 to 15 percent (H.R. 754) and a measure that would bar individuals convicted of defrauding pandemic small business aid programs from receiving financial assistance from the SBA (H.R. 825).
The Senate voted on the National Emergencies Act ending the energy national emergency that President Trump declared on January 20 (S.J.Res. 10) and the chamber voted on the nominations of Jamieson Greer to be the U.S. Trade Representative and Daniel Driscoll to serve as Army Secretary.
