Federal Contractor Vaccine Halted!

The mandate for federal contractors’ employees to be vaccinated will be halted nationwide. The mandate, which would be effective January 4, 2022, applies to companies that do business with the federal government. On Tuesday, a federal judge in Georgia blocked the mandate and this latest order follows a Kentucky federal judge’s grant last week of a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit involving Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio. Per the ruling, “the Court acknowledges the tragic toll that the COVID-19 pandemic has wrought throughout the nation and the globe; however, even in a time of crisis this Court must preserve the rule of law and ensure that all branches of government act within the bounds of their constitutionally granted authorities.”
