This Week in Congress
Congress returned this week animated by partisan messaging rather than collaboration over major legislation. The Senate considered nomination votes and voted on the Right to Contraception Act, timing the vote in advance of the two-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down the right to an abortion. The House heard from retired former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci, on the U.S. response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, both chambers are working this month on their FY25 appropriations bills.
