The House and Senate remain out of session until after Labor Day, but members of Congress are already negotiating their FY25 budget priorities and have been for the last few weeks prior to the August recess. The House Freedom Caucus issued a statement calling on Republican leadership to either pass all 12 appropriations bills by the September 30th deadline or push through a short-term continuing resolution funding the government into early 2025 “to avoid a lame-duck omnibus that preserves Democrat spending and policies well into the next administration.” Stay tuned as these budget details continue to unfold.
